| Club Canine: DOGS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION |
| AND BOARDING |
| If you or someone you know is looking for a new furry family member, please consider adopting one of the wonderful dogs listed below! While there are many dogs available for adoption in the area, the following dogs are either being fostered by someone at Club Canine, or are brought to Club Canine for daycare in order to enhance their lives and to improve their socialization skills. Some of these dogs may be at Club Canine frequently, and others may only attend daycare once in a while. Please do not contact Club Canine about meeting these dogs, as this is handled differently by each group. (Each rescue group has it's own policies and adoption fees, so please check with the group listed for each dog for further information...) We will update this page as frequently as possible, however please realize that some dogs listed may no longer be available if they were just recently adopted. |
Jake is a Golden Retriever who is about 6 years old. He is being fostered by Kera through GRRACE (Golden retriever Rescue and Community Education). Jake is a wonderful and sweet boy, but he had a traumatic life prior to being rescued by GRRACE. Because of his prior life, Jake does have some baggage, although it's very manageable with a little bit of patience and understanding! Here are a few of the basic requirements for Jake's new home: ** Jake MUST have at least one other dog in his new home, because he panics if he's ever left alone. As long as he has canine companions, though, he's a perfect gentleman with excellent house manners. Jake usually prefers female dogs, but that will depend on the individual dog, since he does fine with Kera's 2 males, for example. ** Jake will need a privacy fenced yard, since he can scale (and even chew through!) chain-link fencing. ** Jake also still gets very nervous when humans make unusual gestures, so he needs a home without any young children. Kera loves Jake, and all along she's been tempted to adopt Jake herself, however she knows that Jake would be happier in a real home environment as opposed to basically living in a doggie daycare. If you'd like even more information about Jake, and about how to adopt a dog through GRRACE, please visit their website at www.grrace.org |

This is Morela, but her foster mom calls her Ella. Her mommy came from a shelter after being picked up as a stray. She had Ella and siblings on January 7th, just several hours after getting safely to their foster home. Whew...talk about the nick-of-time! She was born into a breed that does not have a good reputation, but she's ready to prove everyone wrong! She wants to show that bad dog behavior is a direct result of bad owner behavior! ARPO is committed to making Ella one of the best breed ambassadors possible. Therefore, one of the requirements, if you would like to adopt her, is for her new family to enroll her in a training class. Please note that if you have young children, a physical fence is required: no invisible fence. Some dogs will endure the "shock" just to get to the other side, but often will not return to their own yards and go through the shock again. If you're interested in giving Ella a forever home, please contact ARPO (The Alliance for Responsible Pet Ownership) at: www.adoptarpo.org (Go to the Adoptions link of our website, and find the Pre-Qualification form located near the bottom of the page. Please complete this form and email it back to them.) |
